3 Days Lake Mburo National Park Safari : Lake Mburo“Whispers of the Wild”is one of the most serene national parks endowed with the largest herd of Zebras amongst all Ugandan National Parks. It’s the only Park in Uganda where you can embark on a horseback safari – riding the horse while viewing wildlife. Other unique alternatives include bush biking and walking Safari all besides the usual Game drive.
Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park – walking safari
Pick up from Mbarara in the morning and drive to Lake Mburo National park. The park is the smallest of Uganda’s savannah national parks and underlain by ancient Precambrian metamorphic rocks which date back more than 500 million years.
Proceed to Lake Mburo arriving mid-morning. Check in to the lodge and enjoy lunch. You will conduct an walking safari, this is similar to a game drive except that you will be viewing wildlife on foot, encounter animals like the Zebras, impalas, elephants to mention a few. Later return to your lodge for relaxation at Eagles Nest lodge for budget/Rwakobo Rock lodge for mid-range/Mihingo lodge for luxury
Day 2: Full Day in Lake Mburo
Early morning after breakfast, head out for in search for the early risers on a good day you may spot the lions and the leopards. Do not forget to carry your camera in order to keep all your memories forever intact and also to ensure not to miss out a detail on your amazing trip.
Return to the lodge for lunch and later go for a relaxing and experiential boat cruise on the lake. Return in the evening to prepare for dinner at lodge as above.
Day 3: Lake Mburo National Park to Entebbe
You will have a morning game drive to further explore the park. After the game drive you will embark on your journey back to Kampala. En route you will pass the equator where you will have a coffee break and amazing pictures. Proceed to be dropped in Kampala.
